Mad Dog Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 I read all the other info here, and there is an amazing amount! No one seemed to address a stumpy guy I'm 5'7" and am thinking I'd like the 8.5 baggershield. Any opinions as to where the wind might go with that set up? TIA
BRandx51 Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 I'm 5'9 and I have the 2 piece baggershield, but I have the 10.5/16.5, with the 10.5 at 50-65 I get very little wind but at 70+ I get some wind buffeting, most of hit hitting the top of my helmet and my wife gets blasted (she's 5'7) So if you're 2 inches shorter than me and assuming it's in the torso and not the legs, your 2 inch shorter shield should be about the same.

Thanks... just what I wanted to hear! This happens without the upper part on... just at the 10.5" height, right? Thanks again for taking the time! Edited May 14, 2014 by Mad Dog spelling
OrlinEngh Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 I just got the Large Bagger shield a couple of weeks ago and so far am very pleased with it. I am 6,1 and Sharon is 5,4 We tryed it with the clear part down and I get some wind I can wear my cap and it stays on my head, Sharon says she gets a good amount of wind but not bad. But I can hear alot of wind noise on hear hellment. With it up, big change alot less wind and keeps the rain off. Orlin

Yup, with the top part on it's no wind for me and very minimal for my wife. But I just use the lower when it's just me because it just looks so cool!
CaptainJoe Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 If you have a full face and you get caught in the rain, put the baggershield down. Wax your visor and the water will bead up and run off... This way our not looking through three surfaces with water...(outer,inner shield pus helmet visor)
wrenchrob Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 I recently purchased the 8.5 and so far all is good. With it down I do get a fair amount of buffeting. WIth the clear part up I look just over the top of it and no buffetting. I am about 5' 10". havnt had a passenger o;n it yet so cant comment on that. Rob
