BratmanXj Posted May 13, 2014 #2 Posted May 13, 2014 I have both Long Way Round & Long Way Down books and DVD sets. There has been discussion of a third installment Doing a trip similar to this.
cowpuc Posted May 13, 2014 #3 Posted May 13, 2014 I totally agree with ya DragonSlayer,,, a person would definitly want to be on 1st Gen for that one,, outrunning bandito's and all that would be a whole lot easier on the faster of the two bikes..

Hey a 1st gen aint that much lighter then a 2nd gen, I know I picked my old mk2 up a bunch of times. I was thinking like a BMW duo-sport or something like that equipt with the anti-bear deterrent I carried on the Sturgis trip for the Bandits in 44 Ruger magnum cal.
Dragonslayer Posted May 13, 2014 Author #6 Posted May 13, 2014 Thats only averaging 164 miles a day....... But it didn't appear to be the best of roads either.
Flyinfool Posted May 13, 2014 #7 Posted May 13, 2014 But it didn't appear to be the best of roads either. Those were roads???
Bert2006 Posted May 13, 2014 #8 Posted May 13, 2014 That would be the adventure of a lifetime on a Super Tenere but I would have needed new underwear after some of those roads:scorched:
shmily Posted May 14, 2014 #9 Posted May 14, 2014 I'm wondering how he was able to balance those big brass ones on some of those spots. That guy is nuts (pardon the pun).
Barrycuda Posted May 14, 2014 #12 Posted May 14, 2014 a 2nd gen would absolutely fall through some of those wooden bridges as well as the lakes he seemed to be riding in. A great video, but SCARY
