Lights Added

To be seen better I added new light bar and lights in the front of my 2007 RSV and a LED bar for the back. Since I am not mechanically inclined like many folks on this site I had the work done by the local Yamaha dealer. They did a nice job but not cheap. Dion next time I need to make a better effort to catch up with you.

I just installed the OEM passing lamps also. It was not too bad but learned a few things the hard way - all is well and they work great. I wired mine to be on all the time.

Where did you get the lighbar for the rear?

I use the light bar from R&P Carriages also.

Completely plug and play, you get additional tail lights, brake and turn signals.

 

I am waiting for light bars to arrive, R&P had to replace last shipment because they were all damaged due to poor packaging from the manufacturer, I expect to have some in stock in a few days.

I hate to ask if they installed the passing lights with a relay. I'm only down the road 45 minutes and have tools.:ICwink:

Going with Steve the way he sets up the LED light bar is the best way to go.

 

Dion, be assured I will find my way to you the next time. They installed them where they stay on all the time, until the high beam is turned on, then only the head light is on.

Hmm we may have to investigate exactly how they have them wired. If they just wired them into the headlight circuit, it could cause to much draw on that circuit. Then your in the dark if either one goes bad with a short or something. Plus you dont know if they fused the passing lights separate do you? I would hope so, but that aint the easy way to do it.
