Does anyone have any shifter linkage bushings? Does anyone have the specs for them? I know a guy that can make them but it would be better to give him the specs instead of the parts to measure....

Are you talking about the bushings in the stator cover or the one in the foot lever?

I just had to install a pair in the stator cover on Tweety about a month ago. When I put the clear side covers on, the stator housing was originally from a VMax. VMax shift linkage doesn't go through the stator cover, goes through the middle gear cover. The cover I got had the hole in it but no bushings. I bought 15mm x 10mm x 12mm long bronze bushings. Drilled cover hole out, and installed them, one goes in from each side. Got them from McMaster-Carr. Very inexpensive. Drill I needed was a lot more than bushings, I didn't have a 15mm drill. Case had hole but it need drilled to size.

Foot lever has a bushing in it, I think it is 14mm x 10mm x ?? long. Not sure though.

None of these are listed in parts fiche though.

Hi Gary! I'm looking for the shifter bearings, where the shifter lever connects to the adjustable (slider) mount. The other bushing you're talking about is not the one I'm talking about :)

So the bushing has an ID of 10mm and an OD of 14mm correct? The length I can fix with a saw if the stock is longer than needed.

Hi,

First of all, thanks so much for being willing to answer questions. Maybe someday, I'll be in a position to offer advice.

I have a very loose (lots of free play) foot shifter. Moving the lever up and down shows me the bushing in the stator housing and the shaft that goes through it don't fit very well.

Now, the questions.

Gary, I read your reply about getting these bushings from McMaster Carr. I went there and there are many choices. What type did you buy? Drill bushing or Sleeve bearing or something else?

Thanks again and I look forward to your reply.

I think I end up using McMaster p/n 6659K13 in stator housing. Stock setup is with 2 short sleeve bearings pressed in from each side though. I went with one longer bearing pressed in from outside. These are 15mm OD x 12mm ID x 20mm long.

Bearings are about $1 apiece. The 15mm drill I got was McMaster p/n 3091A33, reduced shank so it would fit in a 1/2" drill chuck, $23.

Stock bearings are 14mm OD, which I didn't find a replacement for.

I also put same bearing as above in shift pedal on RSV Hybrid. It reduced play in assembly quite a bit.

Screen capture of parts I ordered from McMaster attached, didn't use all of them.
