Money Venture Posted May 6, 2014 #3 Posted May 6, 2014 Puc, how "slippery" is that surface? I have always wanted to do that. Not necessarily on a bike though.
cowpuc Posted May 6, 2014 #4 Posted May 6, 2014 Puc, how "slippery" is that surface? I have always wanted to do that. Not necessarily on a bike though. Funny you should ask that Money,,, been ice racing motorcycles for years here in Michigan.. Screws in the tires and all that.. While rippin across that salt I kept having neorotic fear phycosis that I was running on ice without screws,,, really really strange feeling.. Went away when I broke 120.. Its like riding on pavement!! If you go out there though,, its best to pre-run the raceway and check for soft spots,, if the Bonneville has gotten any recent rain (and ironically - they do get some wild storms out there) water can collect in pockets and create mushy spots.. Other than that,,, rock solid!!!
Dragonslayer Posted May 6, 2014 Author #5 Posted May 6, 2014 Didnt work Bob,,,, hmmmmmm,,,, let me see if I can help.... Nope that's not the one. Anyone can ride their bike across the Bonneville Salt Flat my video was about a ride in a F-16
