Venturous Randy Posted March 8, 2008 Share #6 Posted March 8, 2008 Laura and I took a trip down to Nashville Thursday for her to have some surgery Friday. When we got out of there and headed east it was in the low 30's and windy with snow on the way. By the time we got back to Johnson City last night, which is in the north east part of Tennessee, it was about 58 degrees, but this morning the snow is blowing here. pegscraper Posted March 8, 2008 Share #13 Posted March 8, 2008 We were supposed to get dumped on with about 10", and we got a half inch. They keep hollerin' wolf and nothing happens. They oughtta be too embarrassed to even walk into work the next day. Still enough around that I can't ride though. Man I can't wait.
pegscraper Posted March 9, 2008 Share #14 Posted March 9, 2008 With all the snow everyone is getting, are we still close enough to the beginning of March for this to constitute coming in like a lion? Hopefully that means it will go out like a lamb, as in warm up early. Hey Albore, start speaking somewhere. We need some hot air around here. 86er Posted March 9, 2008 Share #17 Posted March 9, 2008 Ya missed a great ride, Lewis! The ground was never cold enough for anything to stick, even on bridges, which we saw very few of anyway. I posted the experience (with bad pictures!) in the "It's just around the corner" thread. Sorry you missed it, but as Blackjack said today "We'll do the breakfasts rain or shine or snow!" pegscraper Posted March 9, 2008 Share #18 Posted March 9, 2008 One good sign of better weather ahead is that daylight saving time is here tonight. I lose one hour of sleep tonight, and for that I get an extra hour of daylight every evening for the next several months now. That means more wrenching or riding time. It's a trade I gladly make. I love it.
