rutman Posted May 2, 2014 #1 Posted May 2, 2014 Which do yall prefer? Speed Bleeders or Mighty Vac or both used together.
dingy Posted May 2, 2014 #3 Posted May 2, 2014 Speed bleeders don't work well if there is a lot of air in the lines. The air compress enough that the ball valve in the speed bleeders doesn't open right away. Pumping brake may overcome this. When I did rear brake on Tweety last month, I put a regular bleeder in to get most of air out, then put speed bleeder back in. Gary
Carbon_One Posted May 2, 2014 #4 Posted May 2, 2014 I use Gary's method as well. Works best that way for me too. If all I'm doing is just flushing out the old fluid for new then I'll just use the speed bleeders. But if the system has been opened say for a caliper or master repair then both methods for sure. Ben Rollins Posted March 9, 2015 #7 Posted March 9, 2015 Just found this so it answers my question, I replaced seals so sounds like I need to do both.
