I have an '86 VR. will the seat of an '84 fit with no problems? Keeping my eye on a couple on e-bay, just need to make sure they will fit.

My Late Friend Morris Used One Off Of An 85 On His 86 Then On His 90. He Claimed That The 85 Was The Best Seat Yammy Made For Short Leggers Like Him.

Thanks, but I got the one that was on ebay for $25 and picked it up myself and saved the $35 shipping. While I was there I looked at the remains of the bike and offered them $200. Hasn't run since 2001 but also only has 17K on the clock. All the plastic is gone.

 

For an extra $5 they threw in a side panel and the tank cover, so I think I did OK. I will know next week if they accept my offer but then I have to figure out how to get it home. I will then have an '84 motor with around 50K on it available real cheap...

The only difference is that the passenger seat is wider on the 86 and up. Personally I'd wait for a later model to show up.
