Dragonslayer Posted April 26, 2014 #1 Posted April 26, 2014 Rear Brake pads for a 2nd gen same as pads for a 1st gen $41.95 plus tax. What's a good place to get aftermarket on line maybe a little cheaper?

etcswjoe Posted April 26, 2014 #4 Posted April 26, 2014 My local dealer matches all web prices and they stock them so I usually pick them up there. Ask yours if they match the worse they can say is no.
kantornado Posted April 27, 2014 #5 Posted April 27, 2014 Here are the ones I bought and price is to good not to buy more then one set and they are working fine. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAKE-PADS-YAMAHA-ROYAL-STAR-MIDNIGHT-VENTURE-XVZ13-XVZ1300-2002-2007-FRONT-REAR-/281052319892?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4170061094&vxp=mtr
playboy Posted April 27, 2014 #7 Posted April 27, 2014 Don't remember price but I always got my rear pads from skydoc17 and ask for the ones with less pucker factor. There kevlar and greatly reduce the tendency for the rear wheel to lock up under hard braking. I know I have tested them They usually lasted through two rear tires if you keep them rotated.
Dragonslayer Posted April 27, 2014 Author #8 Posted April 27, 2014 Wanting to ride, today I went ahead and ponied up the $44.00 for the Yamaha replacement O.E.M. pads. Had I known the bottom was going to fall out 20 miles from the house I probably would have opted for the cheaper versions on the net and waited the 2 to 5 business days for them to brung em to me. It's not like I don't have a nice car with AC I can tool around in the rain with. I'm getting to old to ride the MM in the rain..... I can do IT but I just don't like IT.
