Bubber Posted April 22, 2014 #1 Posted April 22, 2014 Got the bike out, hooked up the battery and it fired right up. Now to do the maintenance I put off because of this cold a$$ winter we suffered through. Going to my 2nd interview for a job today at 1:00pm. I could use a few good words to the Big Man upstairs. Not sure it is the best fit in the world but it will put food on the table and keep me out of trouble temporarily anyway.
Yammer Dan Posted April 22, 2014 #3 Posted April 22, 2014 Sent a few words to the "Man" to help Bubber stay out of trouble!!!! GOOD LUCK!!
Black Owl Posted April 22, 2014 #4 Posted April 22, 2014 Hoping for the best for you on the interview. On another note. How is that other project progressing?
Dragonslayer Posted April 22, 2014 #5 Posted April 22, 2014 Got the bike out, hooked up the battery and it fired right up. Not sure it is the best fit in the world but it will put food on the table and keep me out of trouble temporarily anyway. May not be the best idea to mention us in the interview..... However, on my second interview for this job I did mention that My biker name was Dragonslayer and that did seem to cinch the deal. I'm not sure what Bubber will do for you though.
Bubber Posted April 22, 2014 Author #6 Posted April 22, 2014 Thanks for the kind words and the prayers to the man upstairs. No I didn't mention the VentureRiders I figured I had to many things stacked against me already why totally jinx it, Right? I thinks it went alright ETA is by the end of the week to find out. Like I said it wasn't a perfect fit but jobs seldom are. Now back to your regularly scheduled discussions, conflicts, name calling and the such. :rotf:

Bubber Posted April 23, 2014 Author #13 Posted April 23, 2014 I should know something by Friday. If not I will keep looking. I have been practicing though. Lets see "Welcome to Walmart". (Mumbles want the heck do they want now.) I may have to work on that a little.
bongobobny Posted April 23, 2014 #15 Posted April 23, 2014 Yah! Before I retired I practiced "Hi! Welcome to ______________, may I take your order please??
Dragonslayer Posted April 23, 2014 #17 Posted April 23, 2014 Yah! Before I retired I practiced "Hi! Welcome to ______________, may I take your order please?? OR.......Would you like to super size that order, Sir.
sarges46 Posted April 23, 2014 #18 Posted April 23, 2014 :rotf: What did you do wrong in that last job. ...Oh you mentioned us..I mean those other guy's!
Bubber Posted April 23, 2014 Author #19 Posted April 23, 2014 (edited) Well I got an email with their proposal. Low balled offer. Don't think it is going to happen because I would soon be the one being screwed. Not sure it is even worth calling them back. Edited April 23, 2014 by Bubber added stuff what else
Flyinfool Posted April 23, 2014 #20 Posted April 23, 2014 But is something better than nothing while you continue to look?
oldgoat Posted April 23, 2014 #21 Posted April 23, 2014 welcome to Walmart. no I don't know where things are. I was just standing here looking old and lost so they gave me this shirt some happy stickers and said to hand out the shopping carts. looks like I got a job.
Bubber Posted April 23, 2014 Author #22 Posted April 23, 2014 But is something better than nothing while you continue to look? It is more like being insulted. I stress insulted. Kind of like I offered you $5.00 for one of your valve tools after you put all the work and effort to make a good quality product. Now who's insulted? :rotf: Sorry but it was just a way of getting my point across.

Kind of like I offered you $5.00 for one of your valve tools after you put all the work and effort to make a good quality product. Now who's insulted? :rotf: Sorry but it was just a way of getting my point across. I'll go 5.50!! Oh nevermind I already got one... Good luck with your choice Bubber.
Bubber Posted April 24, 2014 Author #24 Posted April 24, 2014 Instead of saying I refuse the offer, I told them that they did not meet any of the criteria that I was looking for and I was afraid that we were just to far apart. I never rejected the offer only stated that they did not meet my criteria needs. I think they felt I was desperate or something. NOT! Bubber
