Yammer Dan Posted April 20, 2014 #1 Posted April 20, 2014 Hey wise ones. Marcarl Posted April 20, 2014 #2 Posted April 20, 2014 Looks just like the headset I used for 4 or 5 years, still use it in my spare passenger helmet.... but I don't know for sure if the same one, there's no model number on mine.
buddy Posted April 20, 2014 #3 Posted April 20, 2014 From what I read it does! Made for Goldwing-venture My chatterbox has been working ever since I said I do 19yrs ago lol
Bert2006 Posted April 20, 2014 #4 Posted April 20, 2014 They should work as long as they are 5 pins but when I bought my headsets last summer, there were a lot of neg reviews about them. I opted for J&M entry level ones instead. Great for talking, but music quality is so so.
Guest Bluestreak Posted April 20, 2014 #5 Posted April 20, 2014 (edited) I had read where Goldwings were able to use a Sena Headset and using a special harness you plug 1 headset into the bike's interface and work wirelessly to the other headset mounted on a helmet. Leaving the bikes intercom off. I emailed the guy who built the harness and sold it to Sierra Electronics (http://sierra-mc.com/) and he made me a harness to work with 1 of my Scala headsets. I had to send the headset to him. He does not want to build them but to sell the idea to a manufacturer. It works well wirelessly to my 2007 RSV radio, mp3, and CB but the music is in mono. I have to make sure the headsets have the vox off and sometimes they default to vox on. I wanted a hookup that would allow me to sometimes take phone calls and the Scala does that. From what I have heard and read Sena would probably be a better unit to do this with. Don't know anything about the chatterbox hookup. Did not read where it needed another headset and it appears to just plug in to bike. It looks like it is not wireless just chatterbox's version of a wired headset. Guest Bluestreak Posted April 21, 2014 #9 Posted April 21, 2014 Hell if I got one of them I'd have to listen to the wife all the time!!!! you could just cut her mike wire, or you could get one of them in-line volume controls for her headset and keep it within reach of the driver and outa the reach of the passenger...
