muaymendez1 Posted April 19, 2014 #1 Posted April 19, 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAY9C8z70co Here is a small video of my last 4 min ride to work yesterday. Its easy to understand why passengers can get uneasy during a swereve or fast accel. This made me realize my wifes concerns and I will take notenext time shes behind me.
slowrollwv Posted April 19, 2014 #2 Posted April 19, 2014 Good to know. My wife has been riding behind me since 1975 and never a word of concern about my driving. Maybe she just trusts me to do the right thing.
spke Posted April 19, 2014 #3 Posted April 19, 2014 Kinda like an airline pilot and his passengers. We trust that he wants to stay alive just as much as we do.
Sylvester Posted April 19, 2014 #4 Posted April 19, 2014 No wonder my wife falls into sleep when riding. Very boring for the passenger.
buddy Posted April 19, 2014 #5 Posted April 19, 2014 Yep same here numerous times I felt Peg Helmet hit mine lol she denies it but she was falling asleep I know several lady's here state they sleep on the ride Thanks for the video nice seeing what it's like from the rear seat
muaymendez1 Posted April 20, 2014 Author #6 Posted April 20, 2014 I made this video because melissa used to complain about the quick slow moving turns ie. Parking lot u turns and such. She would also say she can't see ahead around me. We took a ride with a friend of mine and the first few turns away from his house were violent sweeping turns . Melissa tapped on my shoulder. "SEE THAT'S WHAT YOU DO" I guess with a passenger, moving in a more subtle way and letting her know my intentions should ease the ride for her
Brake Pad Posted April 20, 2014 #7 Posted April 20, 2014 wow thats Ivanitski Terr. I know that terminal
buddy Posted April 20, 2014 #8 Posted April 20, 2014 I took some curves and switchbacks pretty hard with Peg did this for a while as we was with the Eureka Springs meet when we stopped for fuel and break I asked Peg how she was doing as she was going over the photos she took ? Really she took photos in those curves & switchbacks and she said I need to pick it up some ? Really I'm scraping the exhaust and floor boards on 04 Venture she said colesgrandpaw leaving us behind lol so I picked up the pace only time Peg told me to behave is when we was doing wheelies on the 83 Venture lol
Trader Posted April 20, 2014 #9 Posted April 20, 2014 When I first got my bike I didn't have headsets for the intercom. I told my wife I wanted to get them so we could talk to each other without yelling back and forth. She said "you don't want to hear what I'm saying! I'm either muttering or praying."
Mike G in SC Posted April 20, 2014 #10 Posted April 20, 2014 Carol used to read a book. Now she reads her Kindle. Your cam is way back,,, passenger sits lot's closer and sees less. Here is her view on the road. First shot is in Charleston SC, second in TN third in MI. You get the idea.
Kirby Posted April 20, 2014 #11 Posted April 20, 2014 (edited) My wife nods off quite frequently until I start getting in the gas. Then all I hear is someone from the back screaming " woooooo---weeeeee, I love it!" :dancefool: Edited April 20, 2014 by Kirby
Huggy Posted April 20, 2014 #12 Posted April 20, 2014 You know what, I don't care how the passenger FEELS!!! Once they get on the back that's there problem!!! They should have known BETTER then to get on with me, just my wife!!!!!
