cowpuc Posted April 18, 2014 #1 Posted April 18, 2014 So,, I wanna find a small speaker I can plug into an MP-3 player.. Than I am gonna put the Marines, Air Force, Army and Navy Anthems and other patriotic songs on the MP-3 player,, put the whole thing in one of the saddle bags on this old Military Bike and let it play while I am out and about on it.. Any one know of a decent sounding battery powered speaker system that would do such a thing.. Gotta have its own battery source, the bike is 6 volts. I also know of a patriotic song that I have LOVED for years that I am going to go looking for,, it goes something like this: Proudly she waves old Glory, over the land of the free,,, symbol of far greater meaning, than it first may appear, red is for patriots blood, blue is for honor,,,,, If you know the title of this song I would love to hear from you... Thanks,, you guys are an AWESOME think tank!! Puc
Pegasus1300 Posted April 18, 2014 #2 Posted April 18, 2014 Since you have saddle bags to play with get a couple of 12 motorcycle batteries hook them up in parallel and then you can run just about any amplifier made for a car that will take an mp3, zune, ipod etc. Shouldn't be too hard to do.

Money Venture Posted April 18, 2014 #4 Posted April 18, 2014 Have you looked at the rechargable bluetooth speakers like this? [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Portable-Bluetooth-Rechargeable-Speaker-Cellphones/dp/B005LFYCM6/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1397811628&sr=8-9&keywords=bluetooth+speaker]Amazon.com: Portable Bluetooth Rechargeable Speaker For Many Cellphones mp3 mp4 iPod iPhone: Cell Phones & Accessories@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41DQJWtSR8L.@@AMEPARAM@@41DQJWtSR8L[/ame] I use a similar one in our 6 volt antique car. Also, it recharges on USB which is 5 volts and some guys charge it off of the 6 volt system just fine.
Dragonslayer Posted April 18, 2014 #5 Posted April 18, 2014 I wonder if an old drive in movie car speaker could be adapted some way. That might look pretty cool.
