No, I dont think I do, we went on vac last week to Arkansas and went to a state park in the ozarks and they had all kinds of old time shops and among them was a gun smith. The gun I am holding is an old civil war musket and it was made in 1864. It was in such good shape the smith said that it was not likely used much. It sure was heavy, and the length of the gun was ridiculous. I would love to have shot it, but no chance in that. They had some very nice guns and even had an early Colt 45 Peacemaker.

I have an 1873 .45-70 Springfield with bayonet. It has an a stamp that grand dad said was an Army armorer's stamp. It's a breech loader. It is some thing else. Got it from my grand dad along with a few other guns. Need less to say I will be passing these guns down to my son.

My dad had one like it too - bayonet n all, when I was a kid Ill never forget the one time we shot it. My dad somehow mounted it on this table with some padding behind it, the stock was resting against some padding and a big maple tree we had in our back yard. Wow when that ole girl fired it was incrediable, blew this water jug to kingdom come and very very loud. The first thing he said to me after the smoke cleared was, it musta took quit a man to fire those things back in the day rofl. Ill never forget that!
