AKRefugee Posted April 10, 2014 Share #1 Posted April 10, 2014 The wife said she wanted to get rid of the old carpet and put in laminate. I told here I would love to but I need a good miter saw to do it right. She said I could get the saw if I would do the floor. Well off I went to the store (with no adult supervision) and made sure I got the right saw to do the job. I think it was a good trade don't you? jakester Posted April 10, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 10, 2014 Nice, I have a buddy that always says that you have to buy good tools, that way, If you go broke you have something worth selling. I like it. Bill

AKRefugee Posted April 10, 2014 Author Share #9 Posted April 10, 2014 Flyinfool that has got to be the best one I've ever heard. I would try that one but my wife has her A&P license so I'm pretty sure I couldn't slip it by her. Ride Happy Ride Safe

bill in mn Posted April 11, 2014 Share #14 Posted April 11, 2014 Nice!! even though there is a handle on the top I carry miter / slider saws by the sides of the bed they can be fussy . I never waste an chance to add to the tool stable. Did a ceramic floor in our foyer and got my biscuit joiner to do that job.
KeithR Posted April 11, 2014 Share #15 Posted April 11, 2014 I've done a lot of laminate floors in my place....not sure how you will be able to do it without a band saw (laminate is hard on saw blades....may want to pick up a cheap blade) Keith
