2006 RSV...just mounted a used "Freebird built" centre stand and it went on fine but when the centre stand and side stand or both up, the side stand hits the centre stand and can't be deployed.......since the wife can't hold up the bike so that I can see exactly how/where it's hitting, I can't say much more. She says it's the last 1/4" or so of the tip if the sidestand.......do I just grind the end off the side stand, or was the centre stand not mounted properly?

Thanks

I have a Diamond R (obsolete) centerstand. You have to have the sidestand down before putting it on the centerstand. Otherwise the sidestand gets trapped.

Picture would be nice. But I have the same 1 from FREEBIRD and I have to put the sidestand down first and then put my centerstand down. My sidestand does set out a little but it does not effect anything unless I am making a low left turn the centerstand scrapes the ground.

Centerstand up first then sidestand goes up.

When I put my bike up on the centerstand I kind of like having the sidestand out for that just in case moment.

After posting I went and took pictures and this is how mine looks down and I have a 6 inch loop that I can put my foot on to bring the side stand down. If yours looks like this you should be good to go.

Without the loop it would make it extremely hard to put the sidestand down.

Mine broke one time and had to have it re-welded it was fun stoping to get gas.
