I have a 2007 RSV with about 3500 miles on it. A short time ago, it began making a light crunching noise as I cruise up to a stop sign. I don't know if it does it at speed or not because the engine noise drowns it out. Any one else hear of this?

Thanks a lot,

Carl

Maybe its the bag of potato chips getting crunched by that six pack of beer sliding forward in the trunk!

Oh wait...that only happens to me...its a 100 mile round trip to get beer!

Dry counties SUCK.

Had the same strange "crunching" noise in the rear end of my 07. Started at about 500 miles.

At my 500 mi check up when I told my Dealer about the noise they said there was a Yahama Service Memo stating a lack of grease and in some cases the wrong grease was used. They removed the rear wheel, cleaned it up and re-greesed it with the proper grease.

I have 7500 miles now, no further noise.:cool10:

You might want to give that a try.
