I am leaving around 5am from Huntsville and riding straight through to Waller. If you want to meet up along the way give me a call or email me here on the site today. We are just West of Lake Charles. Call me if you decide on a stop here when ya breeze through Baton Rouge if you can. It is a long ride for sure. I just made other arrangements though to spend Thursday night in LA.. Boy I wish I was closer, have a safe trip! I wish you were too Craig! We could ride more often together. Heck, I would even let your wife ride on a real bike,... darn it my J.O.B. keeps getting the way of riding. I don't worry about that anymore... Hopefully, you will have better luck at Americas Best Value Inn than I did. I realize that they are franchises, and the owners of the motel I stayed in are probably not owners of the one you will be staying in, but my advise would be to pay using cash, and do not present a credit card. Last summer, I used a credit card at the ABVI in Abilene, ($59 room charge) and 10 days later they charged my card again, this time for $75. Of course I called them, and got the run-around from....imported individuals. I emailed the corporate HQ, in Florida if I remember correctly, and was told there was nothing they could do. I called my credit card company and put the charge in dispute. Long story short, it took 3 months to clear up that fraudulent charge. It involved several calls to the motel AND the credit card company. I was later told by one of the desk clerks at the ABVI in Abilene that the owners of that particular motel have been 'padding' credit card bills and shouldnt be allowed to run a motel. If you have already reserved the room using a credit card, be sure to check the charges on that card for the next few months after your stay. I now return this thread to its original programming.

Holiday Inn didn't have any more rooms available and this was the last resort, (pardon the pun). Man If I would have left 2 days ago I could have made the ride. LOl Your going to Tx on purpose? Heck yea.. You could have rode to my place, spent the night and then left with me in the morning, and I'm going to TX .........because I want to..
