bikerjohn Posted December 17, 2006 #1 Posted December 17, 2006 Where can I get an affordable drivers back rest for my 06? BikerJohn
dray Posted December 17, 2006 #2 Posted December 17, 2006 try this one:think: http://www.diamondraccessories.com/yamaha/proddisplay.php?name=RSV%20Custom%20Drivers%20Backrest
WilCruise Posted December 17, 2006 #3 Posted December 17, 2006 Or this one: http://www.utpr.com/rsv.html Both are nice. If you're looking for something less than these you'll have to keep an eye on e-bay. They do turn up once in a while.
pegscraper Posted December 17, 2006 #4 Posted December 17, 2006 Custom World International also has some. http://www.cw-intl.com/en/default.asp?Currency=USD
scooter45 Posted January 4, 2007 #5 Posted January 4, 2007 I called today they told me $130 plus $9 shipping. Called back it does not fold down. http://www.protac.net/
SaltyDawg Posted January 4, 2007 #6 Posted January 4, 2007 I called today they told me $130 plus $9 shipping http://www.protac.net/ Sure looks like those BR's don't fold down. There is no way I could get my leg over that thing unless it folded down.
GunnyButch Posted January 4, 2007 #7 Posted January 4, 2007 Utopia and DiamondR seem to be favored by the most RSV owners. I chose the Utopia because I thought the studs looked better with those on the RSMV. The Utopia tips forward out of the way for my wife to get on or off. Either one makes the bike feel a lot better especially on acceleration.
rangerider Posted January 27, 2007 #8 Posted January 27, 2007 Am new to the site today, but when I bought my RS venture it came with a backrest from utopia. After having had one that slide forward from the luggage rack, and one on a gold wing with the brackets on the side, cuts into backside on longer rides and rubs passengers knees. The utopia is not in the way of passanger, folds forward, adjusts up and down, and very easily forward and backward, nice when weather cold in morn, heavy jacket, and warm in afternoon, almost t-shirt weather. It lets you put more pressure on lower back, (bad back), and will enable you to ride longer with less fatigue. Starting to sound like salesman, of course I'm not but money spent on utopia is probably the best accessory you'll buy. Rangerider, from the cold of Northern Minn.
Roadhand Posted January 27, 2007 #9 Posted January 27, 2007 I think you would like the one from DiamondR. Look at the pictures of my bike. I know you do not have the pillowtop seats but they make a nice one for you style seats. Jim
