northernrider Posted March 19, 2014 Share #1 Posted March 19, 2014 So far i managed to pick up a fresh battery at the local Royal Distrbuting, and today I managed to source a needed crankcase cover gasket (#2 in the photo) from a local shop in Barrie, Ont. St. Onge Recreation. The only other part i was told i needed was the rear brake master cylinder cover gasket as it had been collapsed inside the reservoir. The part number came up not available, so either i try soaking the old gasket in brake fluid to see if it will take shape again or think of some other tactic to try... csdexter Posted March 19, 2014 Share #2 Posted March 19, 2014 Isn't that a diaphragm? I.e. it's meant to bellow down as the fluid is consumed. When you open the reservoir, top-up the fluid and simply fold the diaphragm back into its original shape.
northernrider Posted March 19, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted March 19, 2014 I believe it is a diaphragm type gasket, but the top flange is supposed to stay under the cap...I haven't actually seen the issue just yet. The top flange of the gasket is likely the issue..
