Keysyrider Posted March 16, 2014 #1 Posted March 16, 2014 Does anyone know what the "Mic In" plug is for on the Zumo 660 wiring harness? I need to listen to my Garmin which is what the "Audio Out" connector is for, right? I think it is for use with a cell phone or Bluetooth but I just want to make sure.
Sexagenarian Posted March 17, 2014 #2 Posted March 17, 2014 interestingly, other than the reference to the 'microphone' jack on the "getting started" page, I could find no other reference to it or anything else about it, when doing a quick skim of this manual: 660 Manual
Guest tx2sturgis Posted March 17, 2014 #3 Posted March 17, 2014 Plug-in microphone for the sunvisor in a car? For voice commands? Just guessing.
RedRider Posted March 17, 2014 #4 Posted March 17, 2014 Microphone from your helmet. Allows you to have your Zumo hard wired to your bike and to talk on the phone over your wired headset/microphone. Buddy Rich cable should work for this, although, I'm not sure. The BR cable was designed for the Zumo 550. Assume it will work with the 600/660. Check with Buddy. RR
djh3 Posted March 17, 2014 #5 Posted March 17, 2014 Buddy Rich makes a cable and air rider or someone. I got a used one a fellow bought and never installed. But I have yet to get the Bluetooth part of the mic to work right. If the GPS has Bluetooth you can connect your phone and then use the intercom (somehow I have yet to figure it out or get good directions) I have used mine in a parking lot to call wife but once I got to about 20mph she said there was to much noise. Have not tried it since.

Keysyrider Posted March 19, 2014 Author #7 Posted March 19, 2014 Yes, the mic plug in is for using with a Bluetooth setup when you have a phone. Just taped it off and now I'm good to go. Thanks
