Didn't realize it'd been 3 months since I'd been on here, man time sure flies. Been kinda busy with work, just hadn't taken the time to log on. The wife has started dropping not-so-subtle hints that she wants to learn to ride. Yesterday I was on my way home and just happened to see a pretty nice '93 Nighthawk 750 at a local pawn shop. Long story short, it's found a new home. It only has 8900 miles on it, good tires, purrs like a kitten. It's got a little bit of "character", but it all looks like it was from a fall over, no evidence of slides anywhere. Picked it up for $1100. Putting a pic on my profile in a few minutes. Hopefully when this last bit of winter gets out of here the weather will start to cooperate.

Yeah, a buddy of mine, Stratcat, is into "vintage" Hondas now. This ones a little "newer" than what he's buying but he said I couldn't really go wrong at that price. It's all stock, just needs a good detailing. It's got a couple of dings in the tank, but I figured it'd be a good learner bike. I'd been looking around at 250's/500's and you can just about buy new for what a nice used one is priced. The pic is in my album now.

My youngest son, Dan (19 Years old) just traded a '91 Nighthawk for a 2007 Honda 919. The nighthawk could be almost scary fast. Lots of power. The foot pegs were not in the right location for me to ride for very long, but a surprisingly smooth ride. Not as good as the Venture, but nice just the same. You will enjoy it.

Stay safe,

Dave

It only weighs a little over 400 lbs, and I remember back in the day how fast those late 70's 750's were. She's gonna do a LOT of parking lot work, AND the MSF before she gets turned loose on it. Who knows, I might even find something that suits her a little better and have a little trading edge.

My primary transportation in the Navy was an '84 650 Nighthawk. I was stationed in Northern Florida and rode it year round. Had a 4 into 1 Kerker header that was obnoxious loud getting after it. Rode that bike all over the place, great machine, never had any issues with it....nice find on yours
