Need to know if anyone else is having this problem after they log in to VR. Everything is fine until I try to open a new thread in the forum, evertime I do it I get a new tab opening up in my browser taking me to some ad of some sort, never the same webpage but entirely different everytime. It only does it on VR and it aggravating, while it is opening up it says "redirect" untill the page fully loads. I cant figure out what it is..................HELP!!!!:bang head:

I think I found the problem, I went into uninstall and did a little cleanup of some programs I didnt recognize and removed them and the redirects have stoped. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The adware is a sneaky lot. As hard as I try to keep abreast of all the new PIA threats there are still a few that will get through. There is a program available for free, Revo Uninstaller, that will uninstall the offender and then scan the system for the leftover bits and pieces that remain. The last and most persistent bug I found would reinstall itself in a temp file, during the uninstall process, only to return later. Took a while to get that bugger but it is dead now.

 

Try the Revo and it will track all newly installed programs that can be eliminated later.

Lewis I think your partin guy email acct was hacked, I have been getting some strange emails from your acct. Mite be the source of your problem?

Another good program to run is SuperAntiSpyware; it will sweep your system for any tracking data and malicious software.
