Yammer Dan Posted March 14, 2014 Share #1 Posted March 14, 2014 Going thru K-Mart and there was one of those Die-Hard AHM's that I posted about on here still sitting on the shelf for 58 bucks. Manager was walking by and I told him. "I could take that thing home if you cut the price again. He said OK 24 bucks. So I got two Die-Hard AGM's that have never had acid put in them for less than 75 bucks!! Yeah I stole them things!!

Skid Posted March 14, 2014 Share #4 Posted March 14, 2014 (edited) At least it wasn't too much. If you buy anything besides an Interstate Battery you've wasted your money. Edited March 14, 2014 by Skid

djh3 Posted March 14, 2014 Share #6 Posted March 14, 2014 Skid, funny you say that. I wouldn't purposefully buy an interstate. When I worked in the Dodge dealer part time our OEM replacement were Interstate. Maybe it was just because we warranty out the bad ones with "OEM" replacement type. But they were junk. Luck if you didn't warrenty it again before it expired. I got 2 out of parts room that were DOA before ever putting them in a car. So I would have to say my experience is not good with that brand. Some have related that Exide has been their bad brand. Beats me.
Prairiehammer Posted March 14, 2014 Share #7 Posted March 14, 2014 At least it wasn't too much. If you buy anything besides an Interstate Battery you've wasted your money. Actually, Interstate Powersport batteries, wet or AGM are made by Yuasa; so you could buy a Yuasa battery and not have wasted your money.
Skid Posted March 14, 2014 Share #8 Posted March 14, 2014 I have an Interstate in everything I owned and never had any less than great service and longivity. Just my two cents...

JohnT Posted March 14, 2014 Share #10 Posted March 14, 2014 Um, just bought a battery for my 1998 Ford Taurus. Talk about sticker shock! 650 CCA plain old car battery. $108 And that is the going rate for this very ordinary average size battery. I shopped around a bit when I recovered from my fainting spell.
