Looking to convert my RSV leftovers J&M helmet speakers to use with iPhone and listen music. Don't care about mic.

So I'm looking to convert helmet lover cable 5 pin male ( One you are plugging in to RSV ) to regular 3.5mm audio jack. I know edsets selling that unit, but I'm not looking to spend $70 either. Damn entire set of speakers cost as much as that converter.

Or does anybody has scheme of pins and / or color code of wires so i can DIY make my own connector. I have some experience doing that.

Yes I do. I also have a 5 pin connector that plugs into the intercom. I have made a couple of these for guys. I have seen the edsets and a couple others. While they are pretty and compact they are pricey as heck as far as I'm concerned. I think I charged like $12 for the last one I made. I would post you a pic but, my PC bit the dust last week and I have not got everything swapped and figured out where its at yet.

I made my own, but if I had know I could have got one for 12 bucks I would have jumped on it.

Dan you don't need it like yesterday rite? I'll say that the last one I made was "weather resistant". I used it in a days worth of riding 12hr most of it in rain up to Charlotte from Fla. give me a couple days here I got to round up the parts.

Hey being I have to fabricate it up anyways, about how long of a wire would you want on it from the place it plugs in. The shortest I can go is about 3.5-4" might be able to go a little shorter but not much. If you want a little longer that's do-able.

Hey Dion, thanks for respond. No I don't need em right away. We are still dealing with snow up North I would say spring will start early August.:doh: No rush at all.

Length sounds right. I Ride Stratoliner, and my female 3.5 mm stereo jack is right on the line where seat and gas tank meet. I prefer if your ends are female 5pin DIN to male 3.5mm stereo jack. I do have coiled lower cable.

Let me know how you want me to send you payment. I may contact you later today and exchange contacts.

WOW I had mine built 5 pin male to plug into the RSV comm harness and female so I could plug the earbuds in. If you want the opposite, I will really have to dig for the 5 pin female to see if I have one.

LOL to funny. I built 2 of those for my bike last summer. I mounted mine up under the faring and one under the seat for passenger. Then ran the 3.5mm cords along the intercom cord with a couple of zip ties so the 3.5mm sit right on top of the OEM comm cord. (look close you will see it on top)If I want to plug in ear buds with the shorty for solo travel, its right there, no loosing the adapter thing. I certainly know I can make those. LOl Still waiting on an answer from Star to confirm what he is looking for. It just sounds all backwards
