cabreco Posted March 7, 2014 #1 Posted March 7, 2014 I want to share with the club an Amazon supplier I found for LED bulbs. The vendor is called Speed Shop http://www.amazon.com/gp/browse.html?ie=UTF8&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&me=A33TCMZEAWOM9U The have all the LED bulbs my Gen 1 needed & the prices are EXCELLENT. I replaced all the 168 bulbs (dash, light bar etc) on my 84 last year with the AGT units. Not one has failed. Their customer service is EXCELLENT! I will be swapping out my other light bulbs now and also on my 81 CB750. Highly recommended.

cabreco Posted April 23, 2014 Author #4 Posted April 23, 2014 Link doesn't take you to their site, etc. They are strictly an Amazon shop.

So you get 10 194 style replacement 'bulbs" AND 10 168 style replacement 'bulbs' is that right? The 194s (accd. to the reviews) may not fit so well in some cars. So much for "Advanced German Engineering"... anyway isn't the 168 an old style bayonet (has 2 offset studs you push and turn to set the light) base? If so how does a 194 fit a 168 (or vise versa) fit? Are they the same base? Could you post your list of LEDS used on your 83 please? I'm sure it would be most helpful to us all! Tell us more about your experience with the LEDs please. .
Prairiehammer Posted May 5, 2014 #6 Posted May 5, 2014 (edited) ... anyway isn't the 168 an old style bayonet . No, it is a wedge style base, as is the 194. The difference is in wattage (the 168 is higher wattage, thus brighter): http://www.elightbulbs.com/catpics/sylvania/34711.jpghttp://www.elightbulbs.com/catpics/sylvania/34761.jpg Here is a list Andy (Cabreco) used: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=73305 Here is a list of bulbs Al Sigetic used to convert his Venture: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=61163 Edited May 5, 2014 by Prairiehammer

For the price I got 10 bulbs only (168/194 style) They are wedge style like our ventures have in the dash cluster. They fit nice & tight & work well but I could not get the dimmer to work. I have them in all my dash lighting, my rear light bars & rotor covers. I recently bought other AGT bulbs from them & so far I have not had any problems with them. They are bright & replace as easy as oem. The plus point is that depending on how many bulbs you replace ( I replaced over 25 of them) you will save CONSIDERABLE draw on your charging system.
