mcgwire723 Posted March 3, 2014 #1 Posted March 3, 2014 Hi all, I have read a lot of the posts on here, and read a lot from other online searches about the RSV. I have also been looking at tons of "extras/upgrades". My question is: My bike is a 2012. Is it a Gen 2 or considered something else. Most of the items I find are for bikes up to 2010. Have they just not updated their parts dates? Thanks
GAWildKat Posted March 3, 2014 #2 Posted March 3, 2014 Your bike is a 2nd gen. All the bikes from 99-2013 are the same save minor differences, some of the later models had an ipod or cd changer. I'm sure one of the guys will jump in with more technical nfo in a few. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
mcgwire723 Posted March 3, 2014 Author #4 Posted March 3, 2014 What I thought, but wanted to make sure. Thanks
Mike G in SC Posted March 3, 2014 #5 Posted March 3, 2014 A nice thing,,, you still have 3 years (or more) on your warranty. Not that they break often,,, just nice to have.
Dragonslayer Posted March 3, 2014 #6 Posted March 3, 2014 What I thought, but wanted to make sure. ThanksThis is what some are calling the 3rd Gen
bongobobny Posted March 3, 2014 #8 Posted March 3, 2014 Find whatever Star accessories that you can as a lot of them have been discontinued. A couple of members here sell aftermarket goodies that they make themselves. Exactly what kind of goodies are you looking for? Chrome, performance, or creature comfort? BTW welcome aboard!
jakester Posted March 3, 2014 #9 Posted March 3, 2014 Discontinued production last year because they could not find a suitable manufacturer for the cassette decks. Bill
