beltfed50 Posted February 28, 2014 #1 Posted February 28, 2014 I have no voltage to the headlamp, yet driving lights (which were wired IAW instructions 18 months ago, but are not yet on a relay) and turn signal running lights still work. Checked HL fuse and put in a spare lamp but still no light. The wiring diagram seems to me that with power to the running lamps, and especially to driving lights, the headlight should work...help??!!!
dingy Posted February 28, 2014 #2 Posted February 28, 2014 If you have tail lights, then it possibly is the high/low switch that is issue. If you don't have tail lights then it is the feed circuit through the head light fuse. Simplified wiring diagram attached, head lights are on middle left side, dimmer switch to left of head light, fuse down & to right. This schematic doesn't show all the connectors, full schematic is at link below. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=42357 Gary
beltfed50 Posted February 28, 2014 Author #3 Posted February 28, 2014 The R/Y coming off the headlight fuse lead is hot, and is feeding my driving lights. There is no power at the dimmer switch, but I have not yet found where the disconnect is.
beltfed50 Posted March 1, 2014 Author #4 Posted March 1, 2014 The disconnect was at index 45 on the diagram...6-pin connector converts the R/Y wire to L/B which is hot for the dimmer switch (index 46). The R/Y-L/B pin was pushed out. Don't know how that happened, but it's fixed.
