Just when I think things are getting better with my back and my neck, the other shoe drops, hard. On Monday I am going in to have a nerve block on my lower back, just like the one I had on the right side, this time the left side, now the good news is, if it works like the right side did I can have the RF nerve burn on both sides and get rid of the pain for an extended period of time without surgery, which is what I am trying to avoid. This is on L5 which is the last vertebrae in my back, if I have the surgery it would be a very long recovery because of removing the disc and fusing. My wife and son have both had that, and after what they went thru, not for me just yet, as a last resort only. Right now I can hardly stand and walk and when I do I cant straighten up. Hurry up Monday!!!!!:bang head::bang head::bang head: Oh, and guess what made it flare up, not riding, but cleaning my bike this past Monday. Good news is the trike sparkles!!!!!!!!!!:banana:

You have my sympathies Lewis, I ruptured the disk @L4...if I move or sit wrong...ouch. Also learned that new Traverse my inlaws helped Mike buy for me is too high for me to step in w/o flairing my back....meaning I have to drive with ouchies...oh how I want my caprice back in fighting form.

Man, I know exactly how you feel brother!! I went thru 5 of those surgerys a number of years ago (four L5/S1's and 1 C2/C3's), spent over a year in a "body brace" and lived on Morphine patches and Norco for 4 years to get thru it,, NOT A FUN PART OF LIFE FOR SURE!! If it wasnt for parallization from the waist down I would have NEVER have done it!! Got a spine full of titanium, cages and scars BUT I can walk/ride again!!

Thankfully, you have many folks around you that love you and are in it all with you!! I know without Tippy's love and care I could have never made it this far!!

We will be praying for you and your family while you deal with it all and wish you nothing but the best outcomes!!!

Wife has L4-L5-S1 all fused. She had an artificial disc in her neck and nothing but pain, doc said she has arthritis and that artificial doesn't play well with arthritis, they are looking to remove it and fuse her neck.

I know just how that feels,I just finished a series of injections in the L4-L5-S1 region and it made a world of difference.I have been off my bike since end of August when my legs wouldnt support holding it up at stops, also couldnt walk more than about 100 yards without legs quitting working. I went back to work 2weeks ago and back feels pretty good.Hope you get the same results and quick healing.
