Actually Bubber, the theme of that other thread fits perfect here..

Kids come home from Sacramento for 2 weeks over Christmas, with them are two men folk, one of which had never been out of California.. After 4 canceled flights trying to get out of here and ending up renting a car and DRIVING back to the warm California sunshine, her boyfriend looked at her and said "why do your parents live there?". :big-grin-emoticon:

I just spent over 3 hours on the road to get home from work. A normal 45 - 50 min. drive!

There is just a blizzard outside right now.

I know I've had enough :snow::snow::snow:

I got a good laugh today. I get to work and the principal sez to me, "Spring sports starts in 10 days and I want the soccer and lacrosse fields ready to go"! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: There's currently close to 2 feet of snow on the field and frost darn near 60" deep. Once the snow melts (which I don't see happening any time soon) it'll take atleast 2 weeks of warm weather before it's not a soft mushy mess.

I looked at him and said good luck with that ! We'll see if I still have a job tomorrow :big-grin-emoticon:

You would think people would catch on to the winter driving thing. Been legally driving for 40 years and the first thing my dad did was when it snowed. Take us to a parking lot and teach us how to drive in the stuff. It was fun but lessons learned. Everyone used to chain up or use studded tires in winter and now no one does. Illinois outlawed studded tires but permits chains, thanks Chicago. And now people can't figure out you can't drive 70 in snow packed roads.

We are experiencing flooding with ice jams that actually lifted a bridge off the piers so the bridge was closed to all traffic. First people moved barricades so they had to put concrete ones up. Now they walk around those to take pictures.

Common sense is dead and buried, smashed, cu-put, tits up, 6 feet under. :doh:

You can't fix stupid. :yikes:

Best of luck to all of us with people who can't figure out you have to slow down on ice and snow.

Really good for the body shops though! :rotf::rotf::rotf:
