CMCOFFEY Posted February 22, 2014 #1 Posted February 22, 2014 Just got her today and have not picked a name for her yet. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j169/coffeyR6/Mobile%20Uploads/image.jpg 2001 RSV only 9K miles. She's not running well right now, but I will nurse her back to health.
ReinyRooster Posted February 22, 2014 #2 Posted February 22, 2014 With that few miles on her, I would call her "Cherry".
bongobobny Posted February 22, 2014 #4 Posted February 22, 2014 Ehhh, names just sort of happen! My 09 is Sexi 2 Timer. When we bought it a bunch of us were setting around a table at a M&E and we were discussing what to name it. Someone mentioned Two Timer because it was our second Venture, and it is a second generation Venture. Just about that same time someone walked by and admiring the bike said "That sure looks Sexy!" So Sexi 2 Timer was born...
Bert2006 Posted February 22, 2014 #5 Posted February 22, 2014 It will come to you. Mine is named ''Big Red'' and some day's ''Cherry Pie'' depending on whether the boss hops on or not. Its like the Airforce1 thing.
bj66 Posted February 23, 2014 #6 Posted February 23, 2014 How about Pokey.......supposed to be slower isnt it?
wrenchrob Posted February 23, 2014 #7 Posted February 23, 2014 How about we call her backwards. I believe your antennas are on the wrong sides. I think the cb is supposed to be on the LH side.
cowpuc Posted February 23, 2014 #8 Posted February 23, 2014 NICE BIKE!!!!! If that were my new ride I would name her "Lela Chante" which means "lots of heart" in the Lakota Indian language,, it may need a little tuning but it sure looks like it has a very big heart and just needs to be ridden!!!! NICE BIKE!!!!! Puc
The Tooch Posted February 23, 2014 #9 Posted February 23, 2014 How about we call her backwards. I believe your antennas are on the wrong sides. I think the cb is supposed to be on the LH side. Yes, CB antenna is on the wrong side, interesting! Maybe that is why it's not running well right now!?
cowpuc Posted February 23, 2014 #10 Posted February 23, 2014 Yes, CB antenna is on the wrong side, interesting! Maybe that is why it's not running well right now!? So name it "Annetna" and see if it runs better...
CMCOFFEY Posted February 23, 2014 Author #11 Posted February 23, 2014 antenna's fixed. probably still runs like poo. it has been basically not ridden for 3 years. next weekend I will be pulling her apart and cleaning/syncing carbs, replacing/relocating fuel filter. Antenna works for a name. I am also a Radar technician so I work on antennas for my job.

bj66 Posted February 23, 2014 #13 Posted February 23, 2014 Not many people give them a mens name. But since it sputters, stutters and needs cleaning up first, you could call it Mel after Mel Tillis. Just because he stuttered didnt affect how good he could really sing!
CMCOFFEY Posted February 23, 2014 Author #14 Posted February 23, 2014 Can't do that one. My best friend's wife is Melody and everybody calls her mel. Best friend might kill me for that.
bj66 Posted February 23, 2014 #15 Posted February 23, 2014 Can't do that one. My best friend's wife is Melody and everybody calls her mel. Best friend might kill me for that. Ya, I could see where that might be a tad bit of an issue.......
Mike G in SC Posted February 23, 2014 #16 Posted February 23, 2014 Call the girl,,,, Sluggo! No sissy's allowed.
Flyinfool Posted February 23, 2014 #17 Posted February 23, 2014 Since it is running, Start with Seafoam before you go ripping things apart. I guess I am not good at naming, I have truck, car and bike......
spear Posted February 24, 2014 #18 Posted February 24, 2014 Call it 'Watsin'. As in "what's in" a name. Get it ? Ah - forget it! :-p
Hummingbird Posted February 24, 2014 #19 Posted February 24, 2014 never did name any of my bikes - they've always been "the bike" or "the trike"
