Freebird Posted February 21, 2014 #1 Posted February 21, 2014 OK...I could probably ride this thing about 10 miles before my back started complaining but the technology for the engine might be interesting. A 75-degree V-twin displacing 1,195 cc puts out 200 horsepower. http://www.lotus-motorcycles.com
syscrusher Posted February 21, 2014 #2 Posted February 21, 2014 Surely an engine like that could be adapted into a ride-able motorcycle.
Yammer Dan Posted February 21, 2014 #3 Posted February 21, 2014 200 HP?? Interesting but it sure is Fugly. Easy to clean on the outside.
Barrycuda Posted February 21, 2014 #4 Posted February 21, 2014 Looks awful from the pic. Maybe better in person...
M61A1MECH Posted February 21, 2014 #5 Posted February 21, 2014 It is proabably taller than most of Lotus's cars are. I like the British Racing Green one.

TheCoffsKid Posted February 21, 2014 #7 Posted February 21, 2014 When viewed from the side, my profile doesn't look like a good fit for the bikes profile. you'd be hard pressed to put a newspaper under the screen
tufftom4 Posted February 21, 2014 #8 Posted February 21, 2014 With my belly I wouldn't be able to reach the handlebar....
RandyR Posted February 21, 2014 #9 Posted February 21, 2014 BMW S 1000 RR Type Water/oil-cooled 4-cylinder 4-stroke in-line engine, four titanium valves per cylinder, two overhead camshafts Bore x stroke 80 mm x 49.7 mm Capacity 999 cc Rated output 193 hp (142 kW) at 13.000 rpm http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com/_common/img/bikes/sport/2013/s1000rr/s1000rr_racing_red_white3_lead_184x124.jpg
Flyinfool Posted February 21, 2014 #10 Posted February 21, 2014 I have to agree with Don. It might be fun for a couple of minutes. With the bore and stroke that it has, it must be a very high revving engine. with as close as the foot pegs are to the seats, you would have to break both of my legs and maybe a few other parts to get me on it.
WildBill1 Posted February 21, 2014 #11 Posted February 21, 2014 Perfect platform for a fast Cafe' Bike. The black and gold trim one reminds me of my 71 Kaw. 500 triple. Would do close too 140mph. with Bill Wergees expansion chambers installed. In the seventies if you wanted a fast Croch Rocket you built a Cafe' Bike.
Rick Butler Posted February 24, 2014 #12 Posted February 24, 2014 Interesting Don, Looks like a bike I would like to take to the track Rick OK...I could probably ride this thing about 10 miles before my back started complaining but the technology for the engine might be interesting. A 75-degree V-twin displacing 1,195 cc puts out 200 horsepower. http://www.lotus-motorcycles.com
dacheedah Posted February 24, 2014 #13 Posted February 24, 2014 no cassette player, cheapskates lost me already
Eddie Posted February 24, 2014 #14 Posted February 24, 2014 It would be fun to take for a ride and give it back.
Howard B Posted February 24, 2014 #15 Posted February 24, 2014 probably inexpensive too! Entry level machine for your teenager.
Howard B Posted February 24, 2014 #16 Posted February 24, 2014 Me again. It has more horsepower than my jeep. My bus (converted to a motorhome) only has 300hp. It has got to get to a point where you can't use the available horsepower. Then, have you considered insurance costs?
BoomerCPO Posted February 24, 2014 #17 Posted February 24, 2014 Pffffffftttttttt.......Ya couldn't get me on dat scoot if ya used 4 shoe horns and a bucket of grease..... Boomer....who sez gimme my recliner riding Venture any old day.
Stanman Posted February 24, 2014 #18 Posted February 24, 2014 That is one of the ugliest pieces of motorcycle design I have seen. I don't care what it is meant for, you couldn't get me on that for anything.
RandyR Posted February 24, 2014 #19 Posted February 24, 2014 Just looked at the specs on the web link. The dry weight of the bike is 181kg Thats only 398 lbs. And for a 200hp machine!!!
