FozzyUSN Posted March 3, 2008 #1 Posted March 3, 2008 Local weatherman finally forcasted a good day, that actually turned out right. Normally they are only 40% correct, 60% of the time. After reading the real estate section of the Sunday paper, decided to ride out to a few homes to do some looking. Got a couple of comments about a great day for riding. I do have one question. The bike has been in the storage garage for the last few months on the center stand. I rocked it a few times to get it down onto the wheels. When I backed it out, there was a small (6") puddle of anti-freeze on the floor. I checked the radiator, which was full, as well as pulled all the plastic off and check the hoses, piping, and all of the radiator that I could get to. I could find no leaks. When I fired up the bike and let it idle, I could see nothing was leaking. Any ideas where the puddle came from? ? ? Today is supposed to hit 60, so it sounds like more riding.

Yep, it's the 'O' ring in the valve on the front of the engine. When they get a little old and stiff they leak a few drops when the temps turn cold during the winter. For the most part they don't leak during warmer season's. Mine's leaked a couple of times after riding all day and then letting the bike sit at night when the temp's really dipped. Like I said it's only done it a couple of times and I'm not going to worry about it until it does it all the time. From what others have posted replacing the 'O' ring isn't a big deal when it comes time...
