Please tell your son I honor his decision to serve our country. At this moment my twenty year old son is serving on-board the USS Bonhomme Richard in the US seventh fleet area of operations. Go Navy!

Friday I will see my son return from a one year deployment to Afghanistan. This is his second deployment. It is a mixed feeling of proud and missing them but somehow the proud takes over and lets you know you raised them right.

 

It takes a special person to serve their country today.

There is an old saying.......You can lead a horse (or young person in this case), to water, but you cant make them drink, (or make the right decisions), but in your sons case, you didnt need to lead him, you brought him up right.
