Headed down to eastern Tenn this weekend with my wife & son to start researching locations for a move next year. Met up with Randy (Venturous) & Linda, two of the nicest people we have ever met. Had a great time at dinner. It was great to put a face to someone who has been such a great help on this forum!

Looking forward to the move & to hanging out with our new friends/neighbors!

This club has so many great people on it...I'm glad I came across it!

They definitely are 2 of the best folks we have here. I have called Randy a friend for 9 years now. He has helped me so many times with technical advise and met me at the Ohio border to bring me a bike I purchased from a member in Tennessee. I'm glad y'all were able to spend some time with them. Had it not been for Gunboat and his offer to stay with him in Houston when we were looking to relocate south, we would have been in Tennessee probably around the Cleveland area by Chattanooga.

Linda and I thank you very much and did have a great time at dinner. It was good to put a face with a name. I look forward to the opportunity to ride together and to share so many great things to see and experience in this area. If you can learn to live at a bit slower pace, you will enjoy it here.

Thanks Squid for your kind words as it means a great deal to us.

Indeed Andy, gotta agree with you!! That Randy is the best of the best!! There really is something to the term "southern hospitality" and people like Venturous (Randy) are the epitome of that saying!!

When you folks get settled in down there and want to have some biking fun you gotta visit "Jim's Honda" in Johnson City, Tennessee. Randy, does this sound like the correct name?

Anyway, Tip and I were traveling down there a couple years ago and had a flat tire about 12 miles south of Johnson City on the main highway.. Hunk of steel went right thru a brand new tire.. A guy from the area on his way home from grocery shopping stopped, watched as I removed the wheel, hauled us into Jim's, they sold me a new Dunlop for 100 bucks and installed/balanced for 25. ENDLESS KINDNESS!! Sales guy inquired about our journey, ended up taking me upstairs to show me a MASSIVE collection of BRAND NEW vintage bikes - place should be a museum!!! You gotta see it!!!

BEST WISHES as you guys make the move and settle in down yonder!! We will meet up with "ya'll" (get used to it) sometime cause FOR SURE, with all the great folks and GREAT riding down there - we are going back!!!!

Oh yea, eat chur grits, days good for ya...

Andy........Barbie and I will be moving in that direction in the near future. We bought a nice plot on the mountain between Kingsport and Rogersville and will be building a small house on the mountain and a large barn on the river for the toys.
