A couple years ago 2 buddies of mine and I went and test rode the new Victory bikes. I love test riding new bikes, I dont care if there mopeds, dirt bikes, road bikes, minibikes,, I just like riding em and being around em.. Now that I think about it, I like test riding old bikes too..:rotf:

Anyway, we rode everything the factory guys had sitting there.. One of the last ones that I rode was called the Victory 8 Ball Vision.. When I got back I asked if I could take it back out.. This particular bike had something really "different" in its handling charectoristics that made me want to goof off on it some more..

For some reason it had a feel to it that reminded me of these toys that my kids had, Weebles.. You could just flog this thing and it always felt like you couldnt force it to go down.. My buddies totally agreed with me and we nicked named it the Weeble (weebles will wobble but they wont fall down)..

After riding it the second time, I pulled into the lot, sat there on it explaining to the factory rep what I had "felt" and he says, "wanna see something really cool, climb off the bike and let go of it".. I did and without putting the kickstand down it just sat there on its side pads - UNREAL!!! In all my years of riding, this bike was the closest non-custom bike to being "perfect" in its ride attitude that I have ever experienced..

Later that year a Honda Helix scooter followed me home from an excursion.. Tippy and I ride this thing ALOT when we are home.. I have often commented to her how the Helix has some simular "feel" to it like the Weeble..

Hey Puc,

We are all going through it now, I spent a couple hours this morning looking at bike reviews on youtube. Have an itch to go and check out some bike showrooms too.

We did however get our second bike paid for and transferred into our name today, but it will be our daughter who will be on it most of the time. Doesn't matter where I am going I just love riding my RSV, but I know I will grab the Virago and go for a ride every now and then.

When it is test ride season here I do want to try out the Victory Cross Country, always liked that bike.

Come on spring....

I have never ridden one of those but I really like the looks of them. Can't wait to get back out on the 2 wheeler again. The last2 years I have been able to get out and ride by my birthday which is March 18. Not so sure if that's going to happen this year unless this weather stars changing for the warmer soon. :fingers-crossed-emo
