I am looking at installing running lights under the front fairings of my 2004 RSV. They could fasten to the engine guard. Has anyone done this? Did you make your brackets? What lights did you use? I have the Silverbright Sylvania headlamp and light bar light but want lights near the road surface.

If you guys get them mounted, I would appreciate a pic to see how they look on the bike, but also a pic at night with the only the headlight on, and then with the extra lights on too.

I got my lower fairing lights installed. I bought them years ago for a different bike but never used them. I mounted them with chrome fork light brackets and modified them to fit the 1" engine guard. I mounted a remote switch where the schrader valve was located for my old OEM air shock (I have a Hagon shock now - no air).

2007 . Kuryakyn brackets.

Extending out beyond the engine guards would concern me. If the bike went over on its side, wouldn't the lights be pushed into the lower cowling and break it?

Or you go below the engine guard and touch down on the pavement if you hustle around a corner to hard. Its a trade off.

I've been eying some "rice-rocket" LED fog lamps at Advance Auto Parts, they are about 1.5" tall by 5" long. Once we warm up I'm going to look into mounting them in-line with (directly in front off) the lower bar of the engine guards.

Something to pay mind to when adding these additional lights. The pair that Haloosinator has mounted look like the typical aftermarket ones at autozone or advance. Watch the wattage on those guys. Alot of them are 55w and the electrical system just cant power them without issues. Also hopefully you have them mounted on a circuit that is relay powered or the ignition switch will fry. I keep looking at LED lights, they may not be really any good if the primary go dark but some extra ones to be seen would be good. I am trying to figure a way to mount them off the chrome bolt that holds the lower leg farings on. I think a longer bolt and some sort of spacer so the bracket dont ride on the faring, then bend to aim.

Here is what I did using Bikevis bullet lights attached to the front forks.

I mounted my VisionX 20Watt Led's up high- one on each side. I have the right one fixed and the left one a bit loose so I can adjust it while driving - closer or farther depending on the situation.

They are on L brackets bolted though under the mirror stalk. I get greater distance and spread UP high rather than mounted to the fender bolts.

These light up the road ahead for a measured 600 feet. I can go 70 in pitch black and be riding within my SEE TO STOP distance.

This is what get's the cagers attention though

Yup had a modualtor installed on my Kawasaki before this bike and actually had it on this one until I went HID. I would install it on the passing lights but I think the law man would have something to say about that.

I have mine mounted now but no pics..I used a 1" mirror clamp ( black) around engine guard but behind highway pegs ..should not be damaged if falls over.these throw lots of light but not aimed yet..they are wired through kuryakyn brake reservoir switch which is on its own relay and separate switched power..pics later

Finally got these installed along with replaced led marker lights...used 1" mirror mounts and cree led's as above in my previous posts..just need to aim them but they are bright..also twinkie covers installed ....life made easier with new Direct Lift table lift, no more bending
