GRL-STR Posted March 3, 2008 #22 Posted March 3, 2008 i remember them all. tommy and jimmy dorsey was brothers. one of my best friends dad played with tommy and was in the army band with them during the war, intertaining the troops and playing gigs for uso and war bonds sales. he has a combo that still plays jazz and swing music. if you love blues, jaz and swing by big bands you need to attend the wc handy festival in florence, al. http://www.wchandymusicfestival.org/ i have several friends that play up there in the area and plays in the recording studios.
