djh3 Posted February 4, 2014 Share #4 Posted February 4, 2014 Is'nt that the same place a kid walked into school with an arsonal and wiped out most of the school? Students and parents at a Colorado high school are outraged after administrators turned down their request for a spirit week day honoring America because it might offend non-Americans Well I'm offended they are here getting a free education on my dime. darthandy Posted February 4, 2014 Share #7 Posted February 4, 2014 Since we are becoming the minority these days (Intelligent, open minded people) maybe "they" (the "powers that be") should be politically correct and do what makes us happy and comfortable. After all, aren't these morons where they are because of us? Andy

ediddy Posted February 5, 2014 Share #12 Posted February 5, 2014 You can't fix stupid. School administrators seem to be the worst with their no tolerance. It should be called "no intelligence".
Bubber Posted February 5, 2014 Share #13 Posted February 5, 2014 (edited) I am saddened by this story out of Colorado. Bull $hit I am outraged by the idiots we put in charge of educating our children when they don't have the common sense they should have been born with. This is the US and you can't celebrate the US? Are you friggen kidding me? Go ahead and delete this if you like but it won't change a thing about how I feel. Every country on earth aught to be able to celebrate their own country, in their own country. We have turned into a nation of politically correct pussies. Yes I know...... I going to go lay down by my bowl now before I get banned from the form. Small price to pay compared to our men in uniform. Ky. Rider Posted February 6, 2014 Share #18 Posted February 6, 2014 It's a sad world when people are so worried about being "politically correct" that stupid decisions are made.....happens this side of the border as well. Well said! Political correctness is ruining our country, among other things. Hopefully what happened in that school isn't the norm. I'd like to think that wouldn't happen around my area but one never knows. I was a school principal (now retired) but also a Viet combat vet and I can assure you we would and did practice patriotism in our school including the Pledge of Allegiance daily. That decision in Colorado makes me boil and was made by a spineless individual!
Snaggletooth Posted February 6, 2014 Share #19 Posted February 6, 2014 I feel better after reading the replys here tonight. Reminds me I'm not alone on this subject. After several experiences with my daughters school system I'd seen this type of issue too much. Frustrating for the kids that wanted to express their their feelings for the country they lived in. America. This "PC" stuff is for cowards to hide behind. Make room by the bowl guys. Gonna need room for me to. From my Droid wherever I may happen to be at any given moment.
