I didn't get the memo

Showed up at work at my regular time this morning (6:30 AM) to an empty building. Evidently they called for a late start today at 10:00 am due to the residual, ice and snow. It was probably good I was here because I have already addressed a half a dozen issues such as meeting crews to clear the parking lot, Door access issues and security system issues. Without me being here it would not have happened.

 

I guess everyone else got to lounge around in bed. Lucky them.

when I was in the army we had a saying

 

we get more done before the sun is up

 

while others are just waking up. and drinking from there coffee cup.

this was about 4:30 or 5:00 am

every day.

Now,,,, keep the memo you didnt get on time,, stick it in your "Ride Time" file - than when its ride time and ya show up the day after the ride hand it to em and say,,, I just got this memo that said we were closed cause of snow :rotf:

That used to happen to me in High School. It's pretty amusing when I get dropped off for school and theres NOONE there. Lol.

 

 

I guess for work it's different, you show up on time to make sure you get paid haha..

I'm usually caught up for the day by the time everyone else comes dragging in. With time for breakfast, coffee and reading all the new VR post.
