steamer Posted February 5, 2014 #27 Posted February 5, 2014 I see you live in Ohio. You should join us at Freebirds Maintenance day in Oberlin, June 6 and 7. There will be a bunch us attending. Good way to find out more about your bike and meet some of the members of the funny farm.
bongobobny Posted February 5, 2014 #28 Posted February 5, 2014 Yah!! What Steamer said!! You will get a lot of inspiration just walking around looking at everybody's bike! Definitely bring a camera and take pictures!! Talk to people, we're a very friendly bunch...
samklr650 Posted February 5, 2014 Author #29 Posted February 5, 2014 I'm definitely interested in the tech day! However that falls around our family vacation time. If we go later in the month, I'll ride up.
Raider58 Posted February 6, 2014 #30 Posted February 6, 2014 Just bought an 06 black cherry this summer, already have a Raider, but wanted a touring bike. I did a lot of research like you and found a deal in las vegas, and I just love this bike, beautiful and smooth. Yes I have done a few things to it but that's the fun of it, right?
Wade 2000 Posted February 6, 2014 #31 Posted February 6, 2014 Hey welcome to the crew if you want to join in and ride up to the maintenance day I'm only a few miles north and you are welcome to ride up with me and my buddy. We will be going up the day before to setup camp and attend the dinner at QS the night before. PM me if interested

samklr650 Posted February 19, 2014 Author #33 Posted February 19, 2014 Picked up the bike last night. Snow finally melted down enough I could see my drive way. Bike shop is only 10miles from my house, but for some reason it took me 30 miles to get here home:) It was cool, but a great ride! I can't wait for spring!!
