Venturous Randy Posted January 27, 2014 #1 Posted January 27, 2014 you spend 15 minutes looking for your reading glasses and you have TWO pair on top of your head. Hummm.. Your turn. RandyA
van avery Posted January 27, 2014 #3 Posted January 27, 2014 When you talk alot about the hereafter. You walk into a room then said what was I hereafter?
cowpuc Posted January 27, 2014 #4 Posted January 27, 2014 From the mind of Puc, you asked for it Randy: When every time you go to the Doctor he starts smearing grease on his rubber gloves and says "bend over".. You finally understand that PSA and PSI have nothing in common. You laugh to yourself when you realize your grandkids chatter about "Palm Pilots" is NOT about something that will cause blindness. When you realize that people are not yelling "put your shirt on old man" just to be sarcastic. The days of Eating 5 Whoppers or 8 plates of deep fried shrimp are long gone, now its - honey you want the last half of this Whopper - I am full.. Your buying 3 power reading glasses at Menards and STILL cant see to read. You can remember where you were and what you were doing the day they announced JFK got it.. You can remember getting actually spanked in school for doing wrong, and than getting it from the Principal, and than getting it a third time when you got home.. You remember your 3rd grade teacher leading the class in morning prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. You can remember dynamite being sold at the local hardware store. You KNOW that easy rider rifle racks had nothing to do with Easy Rider magazines.. You can remember when even "Fart" was a swear word worthy of soap in the mouth. You didnt find out till you were at least 20 that "affair" meant something other than something to do with your sisters 4-H club. Naming your bike "Tweakers" (like Tippy and I did) means you work on it to keep it going, and your SHOCKED to find out your kids think your now "Meth Heads".. You have to actually purchase the lyrics to the music your kids are listening to to understand even one word in the song.. You still call the people you lived next door to as a kid by "Mr. and Mrs." and vividly remember the day when under 18 meant you NEVER called an adult by their first name. You can remember pumping Sunoco 260 into the 60's muscle cars for .85 cents an hour (at .32 cents a gallon FOR 260) knowing you would have done it for FREE just to smell the exhaust!! You can remember owning those same muscle cars, and actually junking some out for 25 bucks a car!!! You suddenly realize that the guy who started this thread probably only wanted you to give one example of "you know your getting old when" and that you way over did it again,, you click "submit reply" any way because everyone knows over writing is just another sign of getting old... Puc
Motorcycle Mike Posted January 27, 2014 #5 Posted January 27, 2014 I get real tired of going upstairs to do/get something and not remembering why I went. Then, just as I get back downstairs, I remember.
uncledj Posted January 27, 2014 #6 Posted January 27, 2014 you spend 15 minutes looking for your reading glasses and you have TWO pair on top of your head. Hummm.. Your turn. RandyA Been there done that. How about rummaging around to find glasses that are in your hand. How about getting mad because you've gone out to the car and back twice, looking for the cell phone that's clipped to your belt. ......sigh.....
steamer Posted January 27, 2014 #7 Posted January 27, 2014 When your wife says come to bed and the only thing you do when you get there is take your pills and go to sleep.
alwrmcusn Posted January 27, 2014 #8 Posted January 27, 2014 True Story: about two years ago Hannah and I were suiting up for a ride. Boots, gloves, jacket, helmet etc. Hannah was seated on the bike, I reach for my sun glasses that I usually leave in the cup holder. Not there. I go around back and tell her to lean forward so I can open the trunk. They aren't there either. Hannah asks what I'm looking for and I tell her. She then reaches out and pokes me right in the sunglasses that I'm already wearing!
Wizard765 Posted January 27, 2014 #9 Posted January 27, 2014 You know you're getting old when.... You CAN'T trust a fart.. That was my favourite line from "The Bucket List"

SilvrT Posted January 27, 2014 #17 Posted January 27, 2014 Decided to go for a ride yesterday. It was kinda cold and foggy. I normally wear a hat on days like that and when I ride on those days, I throw my hoodie over my head before I put my helmet on (taking the hat off first of couse). So, got the hoodie up and helmet on and I'm having a heck of a time clicking the snaps on the helmet strap (I installed snaps and did away with the D-ring). Finally got the danged thing snapped up but it was almost chocking me... couldn't figure out why at the time. Anyhoo, went to get my hat to throw into the trunk .... couldn't find it. Hollered to Nina "did you see where I set my hat down?" ... "Nope" she says .... then I realized what I'd done .... (forgot to take my hat off before I put the hoodie up and helmet on)
BlueVenture87 Posted January 27, 2014 #18 Posted January 27, 2014 From the mind of Puc, you asked for it Randy: You laugh to yourself when you realize your grandkids chatter about "Palm Pilots" is NOT about something that will cause blindness. Puc Especially true since Palm quit making PDA's in 2010!
