They recommended that anyone doing any travel carry the following items with them: A snow shovel Tire chains A bag of cat liter (for traction) Spare can of gasoline Blanket or sleeping bag Candles Matches Candy or protein bars Safety flares or triangle Spare battery for cell phone Heavy winter boots Boy did I feel stupid getting on the bus.
