1953 Hoffman Governor MP 250-2

Correct!

Actually the pictured bike is a 1954, the last year of production. And Hoffmann called it a "Gouvernuer". Capacity of 248cc, 15bhp@6000 rpm, weight of 326 pounds, top speed 70mph.

Notice the inverted telescopic forks. All the rage today, but like they say, there's nothing new under the sun.

That single pushrod tube makes it look like an old Croker speedway bike but they were single cylinder.. While traveling out west a many years ago I stopped at a real old dealership with a mountain of bike frames out back.. This really neat old guy that owned the place was a genuine speedway racer many years ago, OLD trophies lined the wall - really neat!! He still had a number of old speedway bikes and had a Croker, wayyyy cool!!

Got yapping about bikes of yesteryear, my love for Hare Scrambling/MX'n in the 60'70's, looked at the beat up ol 1st Gen I was riding with stuff hangin all over it, walked back inside and handed me a set of keys and said "there's a barn out back full of motorcycling history that you will love - lights are on the left side as you walk in - enjoy yourself". Spent 2 days digging around!! AWESOME!!!!

That is a circa 1926 Michigan Motors Corporation ACE, a 1229cc, 365 pound William G. Henderson designed cycle.

Ownership of the firm changed at least twice before Indian bought the stock, tools and rights in 1927. Indian marketed an Indian ACE until 1928.
