baylensman Posted January 22, 2014 #1 Posted January 22, 2014 the air fork balance kit listed on this site from dennis kirk is no longer available! Is the Progressive kit still available at other suppliers and or is there a different kit that accomplishes the same thing?

Freebird Posted January 22, 2014 #3 Posted January 22, 2014 Last time I looked for one of those, I never found it anywhere and did not find anything similar.
djh3 Posted January 23, 2014 #4 Posted January 23, 2014 Last dis ussion I was involved in best we came up with is you would have o build it yourself.
friesman Posted January 23, 2014 #5 Posted January 23, 2014 I was just going to use the connectors and lines from a set of air shocks, it looks to me like the should work. It looks like most auto suppliers carry the kits for about 20 bucks or so and you just trim the lines to fit. ( I havnt tried this out yet, but it looks to me like it should fit) Brian http://www.ebay.com/itm/Monroe-Air-shock-hose-kit-with-the-single-fill-valve-option-/380404784582

Bubber Posted January 23, 2014 #7 Posted January 23, 2014 Why would anyone advertise something that was unavailable? Waste of space ain't it?

djh3 Posted January 25, 2014 #11 Posted January 25, 2014 At one time I was looking into finding the aeroquip type stainless lines to do it. Then something else took my attention on the bike, and then something else and then........
baylensman Posted January 27, 2014 Author #12 Posted January 27, 2014 so far found about twenty bike place on line that list them but all respond back out of stock
djh3 Posted January 28, 2014 #13 Posted January 28, 2014 Its funny how somethings go back and forth. I guess not many bikes have front air forks anymore. I remember my like 88 or so Suzuki GS1100 touring bike that was a big deal back then. It seemed most all the touring type bike had air front shocks atleast. I think the air shock hose idea has merit. Probably reasonable and its easy to install and trim up the long line.

I used it for a little while but didn't like it and removed it. Would have prefered something more 'substantial' in nature to do the job. My '83 GS has balanced forks built in the top tubes interconnected by collars and a line between them.. weird but it works.
