Prairiehammer Posted January 21, 2014 #1 Posted January 21, 2014 For a compact, secure bundle: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nppH4WLytzc]How to properly fold motorcycle chaps - YouTube[/ame] For those who are challenged: give the chaps to your co-rider.
Prairiehammer Posted January 21, 2014 Author #3 Posted January 21, 2014 Interesting. But way to anal for me. I thought so, too. Then I did it a couple times more and it become much less anal. Like I said in the OP.....get your co-rider to do it...after proper training, of course.
stickhandle2 Posted January 21, 2014 #4 Posted January 21, 2014 Whoa......my brain hurts, I better get the boss to watch this. I do like the way they folded up in a nice bundle.
BratmanXj Posted January 21, 2014 #5 Posted January 21, 2014 The wife's short, I kept the cut-offs from her chaps to use as a "packaging" band
Ion Posted January 22, 2014 #6 Posted January 22, 2014 well I thought it was kind of bs until I saw the final result!! I was impressed!!! But then I tried it and 30 seconds into it I gave up!!! my "ball method" works great!! :whistling:
Pegasus1300 Posted January 22, 2014 #7 Posted January 22, 2014 Well I was expecting some kind of joke or something but that was interesting. Thanks, I'll try that sometime. You just never know what you are going to learn in this group.
ACE50 Posted January 22, 2014 #8 Posted January 22, 2014 Worked the first time I tried it. Will prob do it from now on!
wrenchrob Posted January 22, 2014 #10 Posted January 22, 2014 I like that idea. Thanks for posting. Going to try that tomorrow.
Raider58 Posted January 22, 2014 #11 Posted January 22, 2014 I just roll mine much more efficiant and way less complicated.
BlueVenture87 Posted January 22, 2014 #12 Posted January 22, 2014 I treat mine like a tent. When I started watching I was thinking folks like that have too much time. Then the snap-up finale pinned my ears back. Pretty neat. I might have to try that. -JK
bongobobny Posted January 22, 2014 #13 Posted January 22, 2014 Then the snap-up finale pinned my ears back. Pretty neat. I might have to try that. -JK Me too! I keep misplacing my mini size bungees...
N3FOL Posted January 22, 2014 #14 Posted January 22, 2014 I've been folding my chaps the wrong way. Thanks for the post. I'll for sure learn how to fold it that way on the video.
Riderduke Posted January 23, 2014 #15 Posted January 23, 2014 I watched the Video and decided to try it. It took all of 30seconds. It Works.... and pretty cool...... I wonder How much time did this lady take to figure this out?
Raider58 Posted January 23, 2014 #16 Posted January 23, 2014 I regress, I tried and it actually works great, just afraid of trying new things I guess. lol
DarrinGT Posted January 23, 2014 #17 Posted January 23, 2014 We bought chaps 6 years ago at a local motorcycle show, they showed us this way of folding them, been doing it ever since. It works great, makes it into a tidy little bundle.
camos Posted January 23, 2014 #18 Posted January 23, 2014 Nice method of folding the chaps but isn't it a better idea to just wear them? I don't get the value of using the folded chaps as a pillow while riding. I bet you will never get them back on while crashing.
Yammer Dan Posted January 23, 2014 #19 Posted January 23, 2014 Gonna have to find new set. Mine shrunk!!
saddlebum Posted January 23, 2014 #20 Posted January 23, 2014 Wish this had been posted a year ago. maybe I wouldn't have lost my spare RX glasses. :bang head: Now how about the leather jacket, rain suit, vest and gloves. Will there be a sequel.
IronMike Posted January 24, 2014 #22 Posted January 24, 2014 I bought a pair and after trying to get into my jeans pocket with them on a few times and realizing how useless they are going to be in a slide..... I just went out and did what I should have from the start, buy FULL leather trousers.
chabicheka Posted January 24, 2014 #23 Posted January 24, 2014 did it and it works awesome I think whoever tries this, is going to love it. Awesomme! Thanks to the lady for the demo.
dogman Posted January 25, 2014 #24 Posted January 25, 2014 Thanks for posting this. I just took mine out and tried it. It worked the first time. more compact and they don't fall apart now. I will do this from now on. Thanks again.
ragtop69gs Posted January 25, 2014 #25 Posted January 25, 2014 Tried her chap pack method several times, each time her method finished as a much larger bundle than the old fold and roll method, think I'll stick with my way.
