and Beastwood met near Magic Mountain for a lunch ride to Santa Barbara on Saturday ( January 18 2014 ). We all had a good time getting to know one another and sharing upgrades and mods to our RSVs

 

Beastwood had a little GPS fun but eventually stopped sight seeing and met up with the rest of us at the starting point. We rode as a pack ( pretty spread out due to varying comfort levels) and had lunch on the Santa Barbara Pier - in the sun - moving our chairs to try and get some shade ( put that in there for you Cowpuc )

 

After lunch we moved the bikes in a line and of course we were blocking the one car that was ready to leave. Shuttlebug convinced the driver to not only wait for us to take a few photos but also TAKE the photos for us. Quite the smooth talker!

 

The good Samaritan wasn't a good photographer and the sun was shining on the LCD ( again for Cowpuc) so he didn't exactly line things up right. So here are two shots that get all the participants without helmets on and then a shot that gets the 4 RSVs.

Tippy's sitting here beside me on the couch and says "not fair", to which I totally agree!!

I noticed in the first pic both AWS and Shuttlebug are squinting,, what causes this:stickinouttounge:, is this caused by the amature photographer (as you mentioned, not all photographers meet up to Cowpuc standards)? Or maybe you guys were using to bright of a flash... Hmmm,,

oh wait a minute, I found the answer in your post,, it says here "Santa Barbara Pier - IN THE SUN:confused24: - moving our chairs to try and get some shade ( put that in there for you Cowpuc )",,, to which I reply: like Hans Solo told Chewy - "go ahead - laugh it up fuzz ball"... Had I of been there you other yahoo's would have been sitting in the shade WITHOUT me - sunshine is my friend:bighug:

 

At any rate, GREAT job VentureFar, you and Ellen obviously had a great time with great friends and great bikes (I LOVE RVS's) and shared it with us - AWESOME!!

 

Oh yea, next time you see that Beastwood fellar you tell him he sounds like my kind of people,, getting lost in sightseeing is one of my character flaws too!!
