Way cool Lewis,, only I want the 3 D printer - not just the 45 :rotf:

Tippy: What are you printing out now??

Puc: A brand new 1st Gen

Tippy: Ahhh, something dont look right, whats that big hump where the windshield should be..

Puc: Weird eay, all I did was took out the cassette player and added a CD Player next to the mount for the M-60 so we could have music with our jack rabbit hunting..:backinmyday:

That's gonna bring gun smuggling to a whole new level...

How about gangs and drug cartels producing their own weapons at will. They would not have to smuggle anything.

It will be just like those music down loads. :bawling: The gun companies will sue to get their share and you are going to wind up paying more than full price. :bawling:

You know you can't stop at just ONE! :whistling:

:bang head::bang head::bang head:Hummmm.....

$12,000.00 to purchase the 3D printer plus the cost of supplies and materials to print out the parts to reproduce a gun that one could buy off the street for $800 - $1,000.00.

Seems like a smart investment to me. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

AHH but after the initial outlay and you start mass producing then how much would a gun cost? :think:

I have my boss right on the edge of pulling the trigger so to speak on a 3D printer for me to play ,,,,, I mean make working prototypes with.

They are a good time! My department bought one a few months back and I have had a chance to mess with it some :smile5:

There's an idiot here in Oz who bought one of these things and experimented with 3D handguns. The Police got hold of some of them and ran ballistics tests. Most of them failed - badly. In the main they simply exploded when fired and if they were being handled would have killed the shooter. That might not be a bad thing I suppose, depending who was using it.

Perhaps we SHOULD go in to production and hand them out free to the bad crims.

Bit like giving drugs dealers dirty needles to use.

You'd soon get rid of a lot of the world's problems!

I was lucky enough to get a "behind the scene" tour so to speak at Dodge years ago. They had one of these printers and I think at the time it was making a valve cover for a Viper. Pretty neat it was making the thing out of paper.
