Guest tx2sturgis Posted January 13, 2014 Share #2 Posted January 13, 2014 Ummm....so your saying that you dont want to leave a pair of 7" vise grips clamped on the knob? Dang...you're no fun. Seriously, I have never even heard of this before. Maybe someone will chime in and provide some help.
steamer Posted January 13, 2014 Share #3 Posted January 13, 2014 does it turn easy with the knob off? Or is it still tight?
SilvrT Posted January 13, 2014 Share #4 Posted January 13, 2014 I think you would have gotten more interest if the title excluded the word "volume" ....
ragtop69gs Posted January 14, 2014 Share #5 Posted January 14, 2014 Must not like that rap music you listen to. Try shooting it with contact cleaner, it may be gummed up.
RedRider Posted January 14, 2014 Share #6 Posted January 14, 2014 You need to replace it with this: http://ts1.mm.bing.net/th?id=H.4585699181265404&w=173&h=173&c=7&rs=1&pid=1.
Winddancer Posted January 14, 2014 Author Share #7 Posted January 14, 2014 does it turn easy with the knob off? Or is it still tight? it is tight and very hard to turn with or without knob.. No rap:no-no-no:... Just Classic and Southern rock... maybe I can just bolt this on and give myself more to grip and crank up the volume.. http://img1.etsystatic.com/022/0/8185752/il_570xN.488323003_gyc0.jpg

djh3 Posted January 15, 2014 Share #10 Posted January 15, 2014 Try the conatct cleaner and see what kind of result you get. Other than that there is a fellow on another board I'm on and he has like 02 RSV he is parting out.
Black Owl Posted January 15, 2014 Share #11 Posted January 15, 2014 Southern rock.... There's your problem. :rotfl: Now for a more serious suggestion. Do you leave the scoot parked outside or in an unheated garage? Might just be a cold weather contraction related issue. Have that problem with the radio in the VentueRanger until the cab warms up.
