Squidley Posted January 11, 2014 Share #3 Posted January 11, 2014 Were doing a little pool at work, 8 of us in it for $20. Pure luck of the draw as you pulled a name out of the proverbial hat. I ended up picking the Niners, but there are a couple spoilers in there that are hungry, the Chargers and Carolina are the 2 that can spoil it for some. bongobobny Posted January 12, 2014 Share #8 Posted January 12, 2014 Black and Gold all the way....................Geaux Saints!!!!!!!!!Sorry Lewis, the Aint's are going all the way home to clear out their lockers! Former Buffalo Bills player Marshawn Lynch sure played the way we were hoping he would have played when he was here. No predictions as to next week until I see who wins tomorrow before I say anything about whether it will be the SeaHAWKS or SeaGULLS playing next week... ( picked both of them in another pool I'm in but way off on the points difference I predicted) My picks for tomorrow 49ers over Panthers Broncos over Chargers......(but I want Chargers to win)
CaptainJoe Posted January 12, 2014 Author Share #11 Posted January 12, 2014 Dang! All that rain killed the Saints. They did a lot better in the third quarter. I really wanted to see the Colts and Broncos duke it out... Both were good games. So, Kevin, Does todays teams colored red, indicate winners, or, losers? bongobobny Posted January 12, 2014 Share #12 Posted January 12, 2014 Yah! I was picking the Colts not by logic but because coming from Bills territory I'm not a huge Brady Bunch fan... I knew the Saints were going to have problems in the rain in the noisiest stadium in the NFL.
CaptainJoe Posted January 12, 2014 Author Share #13 Posted January 12, 2014 With the choices left I think I'll watch the cooking shows!! When I can't watch WVU surprise the Big 12 roundball crowd!!:clap2: Ya better get used to watching those cooking shows Dan... It's only a matter of time before they start "legitmately" paying the college athletes in all sports...

Mariner Fan Posted January 12, 2014 Share #16 Posted January 12, 2014 I'm hoping that the 49'ers win so that Seattle can beat their brains out next week!
bongobobny Posted January 12, 2014 Share #17 Posted January 12, 2014 Well well! I figured it would be a close game but the 49'ers came through! Sorry Mariner Fan but I'm thinking that next Sunday the Seagulls are showing up for SF to bake in to a pie. I would prefer that Seattle win as I am a Seahawk fan but I think SF will prevail. Now to see what happens in the second game. I'm still thinking Chargers edging out Denver by a narrow margin. Man, so far all the games have been very interesting... Check out the last two games that San Francisco played in Century Link field. No matter what, it will be hard hitting, trash talking, blood everywhere football. I can't wait! bongobobny Posted January 12, 2014 Share #20 Posted January 12, 2014 Well, I'm thinking no upset victory today for the Chargers! OK here's my premature prediction for SB48, Denver over SF 38 - 17...

Pegasus1300 Posted January 13, 2014 Share #22 Posted January 13, 2014 Unfortunately Who Dat is now asking What Happened? I love my Saints but I don't think I'll live long enough to see them in a Super Bowl again. 49ers at Seattle in Seattle. I want the 49ers but I don't think anybody can beat Seattle at home. MikeWa Posted January 13, 2014 Share #23 Posted January 13, 2014 I am glad the 49rs won. My feeling is 'if you want to be the best you have to beat the best'. So whoever wins this next playoff game, Hawks or Niners, deserves to be in the Superbowl. It promises to be a knock down drag out battle reminiscent of some of the best in the NFL. CaptainJoe Posted January 13, 2014 Author Share #25 Posted January 13, 2014 (edited) Winners in Blue: SUNDAY, JANUARY 19TH CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS 3:00 PM ET PATRIOTS AT BRONCOS 6:30 PM ET 49ERS AT SEAHAWKS * Saw on the tube yesterday that the SEAHAWKS wouldn't be selling tickets to Californians??? SUNDAY, JANUARY 26TH PRO BOWL 7:30 PM ET AT SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 02ND SUPER BOWL (New York) 6:30 PM ET NFC CHAMPION AT AFC CHAMPION * also saw on tube the majority of tickets were spoken for, by, you guessed it New Yorkers... This crap of dictating who is and who isn't going to be able to purchase tickets based on where you live needs resolved in court... It's gone on to long...
